qigong (apr. 30 - may 2, 2010)

Activate the healer within!
Qigong is an ancient Chinese self-healing art and energy cultivation system. The practice of Qigong increases overall quality of life, flexibility, immune function, and enables a focused mind, helping to rediscover one's natural energy, harmony and wholeness.

In this weekend retreat we will gently explore movement, posture and breath as well as other aspects of Qigong. There will be several periods of sitting meditation and, depending on the weather, a meditative Tai Chi walk through the beautiful surrounding forest. Together, we will co-create a communal vessel of contemplation and stillness - experiencing stillness within movement and movement within stillness.

This retreat is suitable for all ages and levels of fitness, beginners and those already involved in a Qigong and/or Tai Chi practice.

I was excited about r eceiving the bursary to attend this wonderful healing retreat.  Without the bursary I would have missed out on a great way to heal from my chronic ailment.
